These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of solaroptics.co (the "Site") and the purchase of products from SolarOptics ("we", "us", "our"). By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Products
We sell certified solar eclipse glasses designed for direct solar viewing, supplied with documentation referencing ISO 12312-2:2015. Product images are indicative; minor variations in print or packaging may occur.
3. Orders and acceptance
An order placed via the Site is an offer to purchase. The contract of sale is formed when we send the order-confirmation email. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, for example in case of incorrect pricing, suspected fraud, or unavailability of stock; any payment taken will be refunded in full.
4. Pricing, currency and tax
The currency, item prices and order total that apply to your purchase are shown at checkout before you place the order. Tax and VAT treatment depends on the customer's status, destination, transaction and applicable law. Business customers are responsible for determining whether they may recover any tax; we do not guarantee VAT recovery.
5. Payment
Payment is processed by the payment provider displayed at checkout. Available payment methods may vary. We do not receive or store full payment-card details on our servers.
6. Shipping and delivery
International shipping is offered only to selected destinations. Fulfilment origin, carrier, dispatch and delivery estimates, customs treatment, duties and other shipping terms depend on the destination, inventory and order, and are confirmed where applicable during checkout or in a quotation. Delivery estimates are not guarantees. Consumer risk passes as required by applicable mandatory law; separate terms may apply to business orders.
7. Right of withdrawal (EU/UK consumers)
If you purchase as a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason, in accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. To exercise this right, notify us within 14 days of receipt using our withdrawal notice form or email support@solaroptics.co, then return the goods within 14 days after giving notice. The customer normally pays the direct cost of a change-of-mind return. Any refund due will be made within 14 days of notice, but we may withhold it until we receive the goods or evidence that they were sent, whichever occurs first, as permitted by law. This section does not limit statutory rights.
8. Returns and refunds
Please tell us promptly if goods are defective, damaged, or incorrectly supplied so we can investigate and provide an appropriate remedy. A request for prompt notice does not limit any mandatory consumer right or statutory guarantee period.
9. Warranty and conformity
Consumers retain the conformity and guarantee rights provided by the mandatory law that applies to their purchase. The scope and duration of those rights may depend on the destination and circumstances. Any warranty or conformity terms for a business purchase may be set out in the applicable quotation or agreement.
10. Safety disclaimer
SolarOptics glasses are intended solely for direct eye viewing of the sun. Inspect each pair before every use and discard immediately if scratched, torn, punctured, or altered. Never use eclipse glasses with cameras, phones, binoculars, telescopes, or any other optical device unless that device is specifically rated for solar viewing. Supervise children at all times. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for misuse of the product contrary to these instructions.
11. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, remedies, or mandatory consumer rights where the law does not permit that exclusion or limitation, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence and for fraud. Any limitation applying to a business purchase will be set out in the applicable quotation or agreement.
12. Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including the SolarOptics name, logo, product designs, photography, and text — is owned by SolarOptics or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce or use any content without prior written consent.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms do not deprive consumers of mandatory protections under the law of their country of habitual residence or of any right to bring proceedings in the courts that have jurisdiction under applicable consumer law. Governing-law and dispute terms for a business purchase may be set out in the applicable quotation or agreement. EU consumers can find recognised alternative dispute-resolution bodies in the European Commission's consumer redress directory.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you place your order applies to that order.
